OPERATIONAL RESPONSINBILITIES
OF BOARD MEMBERS
The BOARD is a unique entity that acts independently,
but as a WHOLE for the benefit and welfare of the Association and
its MEMBERS.
Because the BOARD is an entity, but made up of several members,
it must be referred to as the BOARD, or WE when giving directives,
flyers, communications etc. In our CODE OF ETHICS, it states that
a Board Member shall not act on his/her own or represent the Board
as an individual. Also with communications, flyers etc, it must be
written in a manner that the BOARD, (united) is speaking; no Board
Member may incur liabilities, purchase items for the Association
without the Approval of the whole Board. (Not to exceed a given amount
Article IV)
By Laws spell out the function and responsibilities of each Board
Member. No Board Member shall impose responsibilities on another
Board Member without that Member’s consent at a Board Meeting.
The Association must operate within the Law and the BY LAWS of the
Association so that the Officers may officiate, and pursue the objectives
set in the By LAWS.
